"Colin first came to my attention when I spotted his brilliant Tsunami series amongst the IPG Terry O'Neill Awards submissions in 2007. He was short-listed and made the journey from Essex to Sussex for the Awards night. I was struck by the thought that this most modest of men throws himself so passionately and fearlessly into some of the world's most ghastly and dangerous disaster events. The world of photography never fails to amaze me."
